Ashirwad Steel: Retrofitting Comfort AC Across a Live Rolling Mill

The Challenge
A 24x7 rolling mill needed climate control for control rooms and offices without interrupting production. Ambient temperatures near hot zones crossed 48°C in summer, hurting operator health.
Our Approach
We designed a distributed VRF network with heat-recovery outdoor units placed on isolated platforms. Ducting was fabricated off-site and lifted into position during 90-minute production breaks scheduled around roll-changes.
The Outcome
Control-room temperatures stabilised at 24°C, absenteeism dropped by 21% in the first quarter, and the plant recorded zero production loss during the entire installation window.
