A modular operation theater relies on a delicate cascade of pressure differentials to keep contaminated air out of the sterile field. Yet many hospitals still verify this cascade only during commissioning and rely on visual gauges thereafter.
Continuous logging changes the game. Digital transducers sample pressure every second and stream data to the BMS. Any excursion beyond the 8-12 Pa envelope raises an audible alarm and time-stamps the event for later review.
During a real project last year, our logs caught a maintenance technician propping open a scrub-room door for cabling. The evidence let the infection-control team retrain the crew and prevented a potential surgical-site infection cluster.
Investing in DP loggers is cheap insurance. A four-channel system costs less than a single laminar-flow ceiling module and pays back within one avoided outbreak investigation.
